here2tutor is the UK's first social networking site for tutors and students. Unlike tutoring directories or agencies we want to make the process of finding a private tutor to be as open as possible. Tutors have their own profiles where you can read more about them and see comments from other members. Tutors can also upload their CVs and qualifications for you to check. You are then able to communicate with other members via our private messaging system or even call them using the VOIP technology Jaxtr. 

We are more than just a network though. Using the principle of crowd sourcing our aim is to make here2tutor the number one place for educational resources. From videos and articles to SMS messages and podcasts everybody can contribute and share information.

Signing up with here2tutor is free for students and parents. Once signed up you'll be able to contact other members and find tutors in your area. If tutors have signed up to Jaxtr you'll be able to call them securely and privately if not you can just as easily send them a private message. 

Unlike an agency we do not charge any introduction fees or take any commission from your lessons with students and you’re free to set your own rates.

Instead we have a straightforward membership scheme priced at £2/month or £20/year. Right now we have a free 3 month trial with every membership. There is no obligation or minimum length; and you're free to cancel at anytime.

There's plenty of useful stuff on the site to help with your studies, you may even "shock horror" enjoy some of it.

Whether it's a video to help explain Newton's third law, or an SMS tip to help remember the colours of the spectrum, it's free.

We are trying to add more resources all the time and encourage everybody to contribute if they can.
